Introduction

Long-tailed ducks were implanted with satellite transmitters in 2007 to 2010 around Nantucket Island. This is a primary wintering area for this species along the Atlantic coast. The goal of this project is twofold: 1) to determine the migrational pathways and habitat utilization for this species along the Atlantic flyway and 2) to determine the potential impacts of the Cape Wind Power Project on this wintering population.
