Background
Jerry was caught by a South Caicos fisherman on the 22nd September north of Fish Cay. He had minor wounds, which were treated, and a soft plastron, suggesting that he is in breeding condition. The Turks and Caicos Islands Turtle Project procurred Jerry and promptly attached a Kiwisat 101 satellite transmitter to its carapace that evening. After a quick visit to the South Caicos school, where he was named by the pupils, Jerry was taken out to sea and released close to Fish Cay on the morning of the 23rd September.
