Introduction

The South Carolina Aquarium has two satellite telemetry projects tracking sea turtles that have been rehabilitated by the Sea Turtle Rescue Program. One project is to study of the distributional patterns of juvenile loggerhead sea turtles that strand with Debilitated Turtle Syndrome (DTS) and are subsequently rehabilitated and released. The second project is to study the distributional patterns of two adult male loggerheads that were injured, treated at the aquarium and are the first to be satellite tagged and released off the South Carolina coast.
