Background

Miss H is a new untagged turtle who measured 101.4 cm curved carapace length-notch to tip. Miss H is one of two turtles sponsored by the Morrison Family Foundation.
It is too early to know whether the Gulf oil spill will directly affect any of these tracked turtles, but sea turtles would be affected by ingestion, inhalation, or direct skin contact with petroleum hydrocarbons.
