Background

Katie is a big girl at 108.2 cm curved carapace length, notch-tip. Katie was a remigrant turtle from 2001, 2004, 2007, and now 2010. She has a depth sensing satellite tag and a solar-powered geomagnetic datalogger so we hope to see her again in 3 yrs.
It was a really pleasant evening out there, a light onshore breeze that shooshed away the mosquitoes, a waxing quarter moon that sparkled the waves, and far offshore lighting flashes and growling thunder.
