Background

Eddie was released on July the 13th together with two drifters and one glider from SOCIB (www.socib.es).
This "Turtle oceanographer" is part of the gliding Turtle programme that will give us valuable data for the management of risks as bycatch in fisheries, entanglement in marine litter, vessel strikes, etc.
