Background
Ondina, 56 cm CCL at release, was accidentally caught in trawls on 28 January 2015 near Cerboli (Elba Island, Italy). At the time of capture, Ondina had a French metal tags (F2600 with the address of the Museum of Natural History in Paris), through which we have been be able to contact the rescue center (CESTMed) that had hosted the turtle when she had been captured for the first time. She had been caught by bottom trawls on 22 Novembre 2012 at Grau du Roi, near Montpellier, south France, and had been released on 10 April 2013. The turtle has been found stranded, dead, in the morning of the 26th April 2015 on a beach near Grosseto (Italy).
