Beach Description

Pine Island is a barrier island located in Saint Helena Sound between the Ashepoo River and South Edisto. The island neighbors Otter Island and is separated by Fishing Creek. The beach is extremely flat and narrow containing little dune area and covered in wrack. The island is uninhabited and holds no man-made structures. Pine Island is only accessible by boat and has 1.28 Km of highly erosional beach.
