Beach Description

South Carolina DNR Sea Turtle Conservation Program

The Capers Island nesting beach located in Charleston County on the Capers Island Heritage Preserve. The nesting beach is approximately 5.75 km long and is situated between Dewees Island (to the south) and Bull Island (to the north). Capers Island is surveyed couple of times throughout the season by SCDNR CRO staff.
