Georgia Sea Turtle and Diamondback Terrapin Conservation Educators Workshop Since June of 2003 educators, both formal and informal have had the opportunity to spend a week on Sapelo Island learning about anatomy, physiology, conservation, and management of sea turtles in Georgia and around the world by working with biologists and veterinarians as they interact with nesting and injured sea turtles. Educators receive resource materials & k-12 curriculum. 3 Professional Learning Units are available for certified teachers. Working with sea turtles since 2003

WIDECAST Latin American program mission:

To improve the conservation status of the marine turtles in Costa Rica, with emphasis on the Caribbean region through research, political lobbying, planning, training, creation of socio-economic alternatives and public awareness.

WIDECAST Latin American program vision:

We will be a consolidated national organization; motivating, functional and proactive that will promote the compromise of the people living in coastal communities with marine turtle conservation.
