Background

Nammagaaq (pronounced nam-mah-gaack)means 'backpack' in Inuktitut in reference to the satellite backpack that he is wearing. Inuktitut is one of the Inuit languages of Nunavut in northern Canada where Nammagaaq's breeding grounds are located.
