Background

Anuri (pronounced Ah-noo-ree) means 'wind' in Inuktitut for the cold and constant arctic winds that birds must endure while nesting. Inuktitut is one of the Inuit languages of Nunavut in northern Canada where Anuri's breeding grounds are located.
