Background

Nuliaq (pronounced new-lee-ack) means 'wife' in Inuktitut because she was the 2017 breeding season mate of Aupajaangajuq who was tagged in 2016 at the same site. Inuktitut is one of the Inuit languages of Nunavut in northern Canada where Nuliaq's breeding grounds are located.
