Background
Quqsuqtuq (pronounced Kook-sook-took) means 'yellow' in Inuktitut for the yellow leg band she is wearing. Inuktitut is one of the Inuit languages of Nunavut in northern Canada where Quqsuqtuq's breeding grounds are located. Quqsuqtuq had a nest with Aippiq during the 2016 breeding season.
