Tika - Gabon 2008-09: Mayumba & Pongara, Leatherback Turtles

Background

Tika was the third leatherback turtle of the season to receive a satellite transmitter at Pongara National Park. She quickly moved into deep offshore waters and travelled north to waters of Equatorial Guinea. After the nesting season Tika headed south west into the South Atlantic. She has now looks to be swimming to South America.
