Why did animal X stop transmitting?

Background

Calypso is a large juvenile (CCLn-t: 66.5 cm) loggerhead turtle, named after the bottom trawl where he incidentally got entangled on 24 June 2006 while he was swimming in neritic waters off Losinj Island (Croatia). The animal was rescued within an on-board research program on large marine vertebrates carried out by the Croatian Natural History Museum and the Blue World Institute of Marine Research and Conservation. When captured, Calypso was apparently healthy and in good condition. Afterwards, he was transported and kept in the Sea Turtle Rescue Center of Pula Aquarium. Two days before his release, Calypso was transported back to Blue World Institute facilities on Losinj Island, where he was equipped with a satellite transmitter and released on 7 September 2006 with local and national media coverage.
