North Carolina WRC Sea Turtle Project

Wrightsville Beach is located east of Wilmington, the largest city on the coast of North Carolina. Volunteers have been monitoring and protecting sea turtle nests on Wrightsville Beach since 1984. Currently, several dozen volunteers donate their time and energy to patrolling the beach, to ensure the successful incubation of sea turtle nests.
