Astro (UUS525)

"Astro" is a juvenile Kemp's ridley that was outfitted with a Sirtrack KiwiSat 202 transmitter and released on 4 August 2015. This ridley was captured during TAMUG entanglement netting operations in Galveston Bay near Dollar Point, Texas City, Texas. Research to examine the habitat use patterns of juvenile Kemp’s ridleys from Galveston Bay was made possible by funding from the Moody Gardens Aquarium.
