Waties Island Sea Turtle Monitors

The Waties Island monitors are a group of dedicated volunteers that walk the 2 1/2 mile long, private, undeveloped island at the border of North and South Carolina everyday. We are permitted by SC DNR to protect sea turtle nests on the Island and we provide educational presentations about sea turtles to grades K-12 and the general public in the area.
