Tzadik is a Loggerhead sea turtle who arrived at the rescue center on the 3.10.14. He was found by Moshe Mantin a fisherman, caught on a long line fishing hook. Moshe pulled the turtle up onto his boat and called the Israel Sea Turtle Rescue Center. Elad Zisso, the rescue center's head of staff brought the turtle to the rescue center. At the rescue center, Yaniv, the rescue center manager removed the hook from Tzadik's esophagus, gave him basic treatment and hospitalized him in the intensive care tank. Tzadik was then taken to Dr. Tzahi Izenberg's clinic "Kol Hai" for further diagnosis: an X-ray and Ultrasound check, which revealed that Tzadik was in good health condition and had no other hooks or injuries. Tzadik was kept at the rescue center under observation for a couple of weeks to make absolutely sure that he was healthy, over the two weeks that he was at the rescue center Tzadik quickly recovered, he was active and eating well enough to convince the staff that he was ready to be released! On the 22.10.2014 Tzadik was released at the Gdor Nature reserve beach, accompanied by the rescue center staff and volunteers, at first when he was put on the sand it took him a while to get to the water, but as soon as he got in he swam like a torpedo and quickly disappeared into the big blue sea!
