Background
Leucosia was named after the siren from Greek mythology who tried to lure Odysseus and his companions to their death with their melodious voices. Indeed, the turtle was found at "Punta Licosa", the apparent residence of the siren in SW Italy, but instead of being a danger to passing boats, Leucosia was herself in difficulty and was rescued by two fishermen. She was recovered and rehabilitated at the "Turtle Point" and released back into the sea at the island of Capri in the Gulf of Naples. Will she go back to her favourite place at Punta Licosa?
Half a year after her release, after spending the winter in southern Calabria and Sicily, Leucosia regained activity and more positions are coming in every day. She has surrounded Sicily and returned to the vicinity of Punta Licosa, where she was found last year.

- This map connects positions generated by the ARGOS system designated as location codes (lc) '3', '2', '1', '0', 'A', 'B'.
- The static maps also shows locations of class 'A' as small black circles which are not connected by a route line.
