Snowball is a sub-adult loggerhead sea turtle and was found in Buxton, North Carolina as part of a cold-stunning event the afflicted the area in November 2008. Snowball was transferred by the North Carolina and South Carolina Department of Natural Resources to the Georgia Sea Turtle Center, Jekyll Island, GA on November 26, 2008. Snowball arrived with 2 other turtles: Blizzard, another sub-adult loggerhead sea turtle and Chilly Willy, a juvenile green sea turtle. (Check out Blizzard's tracking page too!)

Snowball made a great recover and was released on April 25, 2009, along with Blizzard, Chilly Willy and another guest, Nikon (a juvenile green sea turtle), from Tybee Island, GA following their 5K fundraiser "Turtle Trot".
