Why did animal X stop transmitting?

Longboat Lulu

Casey Key Loggerheads 2007

A project of Mote Marine Laboratory.

Lulu is sponsored by Longboat Key Turtle Watch and an anonymous supporter. Although Lulu's tag is still transmitting, it isn't sending reliable locations for latitude/longitude. Sometimes that happens when a female departs on the post-nesting migration and she's swimming steadily, then when she arrives at the final foraging ground, the signals resume. Let's hope we hear more from Lulu as she arrives at the foraging ground, where ever that might be.
