Background

MC was tagged in 2001 on Casey Key. She carries a time depth recorder and a bioacoustic tag. She was tagged while she came ashore but did not nest (aka a "false crawl" so she will probably return in a few days to nest successfully).
MC (an abbreviation for Mission Critical) is named by Kenya and Keri of Sarasota County Environmental Services, who were out to conduct lighting surveys that ensure Sarasota County beaches are dark for sea turtle nesting season.
