Background

Rocket was named by Lamarque Elementary School. She is a small female at only 84.5 cm curved carapace length and is a new turtle, not previously tagged. Rocket was viewed and attended by a group of MARVET vet students who are learning field methods in marine veterinary medicine during a two week workshop . A set of blood samples were taken from Rocket after nesting to evaluate base line blood parameters that will establish her health.
