Background

This harbour seal named Poseidon has been saved the 6th august 2006 at Yport (Normandy, north of France). It was very ill and hadn't the right weigth. He was not an adulte but he had more than 1 year.
He has spent about 2 months in our rehabilitation center where we have taken care of him and fed him actively with herrings. By the end of september he had successfully reached 58kgs of weight. Therefore it was time for him to go back to wildlife. We released him the 27th october 2006. Just after opening his cage, Poseidon quickly made his way directly to the ocean!
