Background

'Lisa' is the first hawksbill to be observed nesting on St Eustatius in 2006. She laid 143 eggs on the primary nesting beach, Zeelandia Beach, on the Atlantic side of the island. She had a CCL of 85.5cm.
Her name was choosen by Evan Hassel, a 4th grade student at the Governor de Graaf School, who was one of the winners of an art and craft competition held in 2005.
