Background

Henrietta is a sub-adult Kemp's ridley sea turtle that was incidentally caught by a recreational fisherman at a fishing pier in Biloxi, MS. After rehabilitation, Henrietta was released near Horn Island, MS on October 11, 2013. Henrietta was named after Dr. Henry Hildebrand, who played a pivotal role in helping the scientific community learn about Kemp's ridley sea turtles.
