Background

Harley was the first Olive ridley turtle of this season (2009-2010) to arrive ashore to nest. She was captured after nesting on the shore of Kwanda Island inside the mouth of the Congo River. Harley was fitted with a Fastloc platform terminal transmitter GPS unit and released from her Kwanda Island nesting beach inside the mouth of the Congo River on October 16, 2009.



This project is being managed on behalf of Angola LNG by Mr Warren Klein / Tim Baynham (Angola LNG Wildlife Advisors) and Dr Kellie Pendoley (Specialist sea turtle biologist).
