Background
Gaby the Olive ridley turtle was fittted with the last Kiwisat platform terminal transmitter in the Angola LNG Turtle Tracking Project. Gaby will now be satellite tracked from the Soyo area of Angola. She was captured after laying her clutch of 137 eggs on the shore of Kwanda Island inside the mouth of the Congo River. Gaby was released the following morning from her Kwanda Island nesting beach on October 26, 2009.
This project is being managed on behalf of Angola LNG by Mr Warren Klein/Tim Baynham(Angola LNG Wildlife Advisors) and Dr Kellie Pendoley (Specialist sea turtle biologist).
