Background

Nagula Jarndu was tagged by the Yawuru County Managers, Conservation Volunteers Australia at Ecobeach, and the Marine Science Program in the Department of Biodiversity, Conservation and Attractions. Nagula Jarndu is a Yawuru name that means 'saltwater woman'. The beach is very dry sand and the turtle did not nest the first night because the sand caved in as she attempted to dig a nest.
