Background

'Zebra' was located on the first day of the November survey in the Gulf of Masirah. Named for the distinct black and white stripped pattern on the tail fluke the images will allow researchers to identify this whale for years to come. The tracking tag placed on this whale also houses a pressure sensor that will reveal behaviour and dive profile of this whale's movements. Stay tuned for to this page to follow the adventures of 'Zebra'!
