Background

SAM is an adult female loggerhead who was brought into the Dubai Turtle Rehabilitation Project in December suffering from a severe infection and debilitation. After months of intensive care and rehab, SAM put on 20kg and was released in Abu Dhabi where she was originally found. SAM was fitted with a Wildlife Computers SPOT 6 satellite tag which was kindly purchased by Shamsa Al Hameli, Amna Al Mansoori and Maitha Al Hameli. The first letter of each name made SAM :o)
