A hawksbill's journey

Background

We found her wedged under a moon flower tree on top of the dune at 1125pm. She laid her eggs and we attached a satellite tracker to her before she headed back to the sea.

She had a few barnacles and algae on her shell, does she reside on a rocky reef somewhere near Queensland's coastline or on the southern coastal fringe of Papua New Guinea?

This is the first time we have monitored her nesting on Milman Island. Released on 30 January 2017.
