Track of "Destiny" the Whale Shark. Destiny is a 6.5 m female shark tagged at Ningaloo Reef.

This ~ 6 metre long female shark was named "Destiny" following a naming competition at the 2017 Ningaloo Whale Shark Festival. Jesse Sutton, Ben Hamilton and Sarah Adair entered the name "Destiny" for the following reasons: "its from finding dory";"Destiny is the whale shark from Finding Dory movie!", and "Destiny" is the name of the Whale Shark off Finding Dory! She is quirky, and sweet and I think being named after a character in Finding Dory will bring recognition and instant glory with all the little kids who has seen the Movie ( every child on the planent). It will help the younger generation relate and embed interest  in the Whale Shark throughour their childhood which in turn will create awareness and apprecition of the ocean and its beautiful creatures."
