Mandu is a female green turtle who was tagged after a nesting attempt on Trisel Beach at Ningaloo. She was released at 0110 AM on 19 January 2018. She was 99.9 cm CCL and 91.5 cm CW.

We attached flipper tags WB16408 (left) and WB16407 (right).

Mandu was tagged with the help of Kerrilyn & Tara from the Cape Conservation Group, and Ashleigh & Courtney from the Ningaloo Turtle Program.

Mandu was named by staff at BHP. Mandu means “The Sun” in the local indigenous language. Mandu Mandu Gorge is also located in the area.

SEATURTLE.ORG collaborates with Argos to help scientists and conservationists manage and analyse their valuable animal tracking data.
