Background

Shelley is an adult female Kemp's ridley sea turtle who was found stranded on 14 January 2017 on the Mustang Island Gulf Beach, Texas. She had no injuries, but was dehydrated. After rehabilitation she was deemed healthy and robust. She was outfitted with a Sirtrack Kiwisat 202 satellite transmitter.
