Update 02.10.13: Sir Patrick's last transmissions were on the 2nd September - when he was still in the hole. We think his tag may have fallen off as his shell grew. There is more information and pictures of this turtle at http://www.mcsuk.org/conservation_in_action/Marine+turtles/Tracking+turtles/Tracking+turtles

Background

Sir Patrick is a sub-adult green turtle (CCL=74.9cm) captured close to the Ocean Hole on the Caicos Banks by TCITP Officer Amdeep Sanghera and staff from Big Blue Ltd (http://www.bigblueunlimited.com/), who generously sponsored Sir Patrick's Sirtrak Fastloc satellite tag. Sir Patrick was taken back to Big Blue's HQ where the tag was fitted and he was released back at Ocean Hole the next day.
