National Fellowship Awarded for Research on Olive Ridley

Dr. P. Mohanty-Hejmadi (Head, Department of Zoology, Utkal University, Orissa) has been awarded the prestigious Pitmar Pant National Environment Fellowship by the Ministry of Environment and Forestry, Government of India, for her outstanding work on endangered amphibians and reptiles. During the tenure of the fellowship (March 1993 - March 1995), Dr. P. Mohanty-Hejmadi will undertake research on the developmental biology of the olive ridley sea turtle, Lepidochelys olivacea.
