The Centre for Herpetology has been given sea turtle tags by a kind supplier in Australia. The tags bear the numbers 1-55 and are engraved with the following return address: "RETURN WILDLIFE, BOX 155 NORTH GUAN, 4002 OLD AUSTRALIA". Anyone recovering a turtle bearing one of these tags is asked to return it to the Centre for Herpetology, Madras Crocodile Bank, Post Bag 4, Mamallapuram, Tamil Nadu 603104 INDIA. Thank you.
A fisherman in Tanzania caught a tagged loggerhead sea turtle and notified the tagger, George Hughes, of the recovery. In his letter he mentioned that he had caught another turtle (presumably also a loggerhead) bearing a tag engraved "MRROOMBA". There was no return address nor any other details printed on the tag.
