Slabby (RRR695)
Slabby (RRR695) is a sub-adult loggerhead turtle that was found floundering in the surf off of "Slab B" at Mustang Island State Park, near Port Aransas, TX on 22 August 2008 and rehabilitated by the Animal Rehabilitation Keep (ARK) program at the University of Texas Marine Science Institute (UTMSI). "Slabby" was outfitted with a Sirtrack KiwiSat 101 satellite transmitter on 27 October 2008 by the TAMUG STFERL prior to its release into the Gulf of Mexico, approximately 8 miles offshore of Port Aransas, TX on 29 October 2008. Special thanks to Tony Amos and ARK for their collaboration in providing this turtle for tracking.
