Ribbons of plastic block green's pylorous

A necrosy examination conducted on a dead green sea turtle beach-washed at Byron Bay found that the stomach contained a large amount of algae, however at the botton of the stomach (the pylorous) there were several thin ribbons of plastic entwined with food matter which appeared to be preventing the food from passing into the intestine.
