Rehabilitated Subadult Green from Port Aransas, TX

Subadult green (RRC663) which was found in the boat basin of the University of Texas Marine Science Institute in Port Aransas,TX with boat propeller injury to the left side of the head. Turtle was rehabilitated by the Animal Rehabilitation Keep (ARK) and released with a satellite transmitter into the "East Flats" area near Port Aransas in July of 2006. Turtle was nicknamed "Heddy". This project is assessing sea turtle abundance and habitat use in Texas bay systems.
