Padre Island National Seashore, Division of Sea Turtle Science and Recovery

Padre Island National Seashore, Division of Sea Turtle Science and Recovery, locates, documents, studies and protects nesting Kemp's ridley sea turtles and their nests. We have also found and protected the nests of green sea turtles, loggerhead sea turtles and a leatherback nest. We conduct patrols looking for nests and stranded sea turtles along the 72 miles of North Padre Island.
