Why are these people organizing brightly coloured cards?
This is a scene from a workshop of the Marine Turtle Specialist Group (MTSG) held in December. One of the objectives of the workshop was to develop and discuss various issues that the MTSG should be concerned with. To do this, the members of the workshop wrote down their ideas on cards and pasted them onto a wall. The ideas on the cards were roughly categorized (as seen above), then the participants split into smaller groups to discuss and prioritize the specific issues of each category. I found the process quite productive. At the next MTSG meeting in February in Costa Rica, the results of the workshop should be presented.
