2005 Symposium

For those of you that hadn't heard yet, Thane Wibbels is president of next year's symposium, to be held in Savannah, Georgia at the Hyatt Regency. I'm not sure a final date has been set yet, but I believe it will be in late January. I'll post an update here if I can get a final date.

All I can say is, it's about time we got back to the water!!!!

OK, I can confirm that the dates for next year will be January 16-23. This will be the first symposium in the US in three years and will be centrally located. I predict it will be a big one! So when the details come out make your reservations as early as possible!

Haven't had an invitation for the symposium for a couple of years, but would like to resume attending. Have been a Sea Turtle Midwife in Highland Beach, Florida for 20 years and look forward to joining the group again in January. How do I go about getting on the invite list again?

Thanks, Lucy

Please put me on the list for the sea turtle symposium for 2005. I hope to have a grant in NH by then. I'm doing work relating to Leatherbacks off New England coastal states. Those dates sound goodforthe conference. I also want to submit an abstract.

There is no "list" for the symposium. You can keep up with the latest news related to coming symposia by visiting seaturtle.org, following the Marine Turtle Newsletter http://www.seaturtle.org/mtn/ or subscribing to the CTURTLE listserv http://accstr.ufl.edu/cturtle.html.
