From a Stomach to the Web

A pose often adopted by threatened crabs, we've all seen it, it is called the 'Aufbaum' reflex and was probably the last thing this common mud crab (Panopeus herbstii) did before it was consumed by the ridley (L. kempi) we found these chelipeds from. The turtle was a stranded specimen we collected on Wassaw Island, Georgia.
