Background

I helped start the Students' Sea Turtle Conservation Network in Madras, India in 1988, which today is one of the longest running student programs worldwide. I abandoned sea turtles from 1991-1998, but have since been involved with sea turtle research and conservation. I have been conducting research in sea turtle genetics on the Indian coast and conservation programmes in Orissa.
